Energy efficient buildings, built better
Greenlion Homes specialise in building concrete buildings for both the residential and commercial markets. We build using Insulating Concrete Forms (ICF) because of the advantages this offers. Our buildings are highly energy-efficient, strong and durable. We provide a total building service from site excavation to render application and roof completion.
Stage 1: Foundations and ground floor slab
Preliminaries - set up site as work zone i.e. water access, wc, signage etc. Septic tank & Services - supply & fit to planning and council requirements. Stone site (around house for working purposes) Stone roadway to house from main road Excavate for foundations Raft foundation up to finished floor level - steel & concrete base when ground unsuitable for strip foundation Strip foundations - concrete laid to take walls & steel mesh applied if required ICF footings - footings for house can be built in ICF Insulation - floor insulation supply & fit to requirements Radon barrier - supply & fit to regulations Finished floor - supply & fit concrete slab with mesh & power floating to slab
